The Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), in its report "Aviation Finance in Kazakhstan and Central Asia: Global Trends and the Role of the Astana International Financial Centre," forecasts Tajikistan's commercial fleet will grow from 10 to 25 aircraft by 2030, a 150% increase.
That is the smallest absolute fleet among the five Central Asian countries covered by the report (for comparison: Kazakhstan from 109 to 221, Uzbekistan from 105 to 180, Turkmenistan from 27 to 43, Kyrgyzstan from 20 to 35), but the highest percentage growth in the region.
AIFC is positioning itself as a potential regional hub for aviation finance and leasing — the report was presented alongside Jupiter Jet's first aircraft leasing transaction with a US lessor, a milestone AIFC cited as evidence Kazakh cargo operators are ready to participate in international leasing deals.
