Air Astana Group has summarized its 2026 summer season, calling it one of the most extensive in the company's history. At its peak, group airlines operated 525 domestic flights per week across Kazakhstan (75 per day), 57 flights to the Caucasus, and 49 flights to China.
"This past summer showed high demand for air travel. We delivered a record flight program, substantially increasing frequencies and expanding our route network. The flexibility of our network allowed us to redeploy aircraft to alternative destinations with strong passenger demand, underscoring the countercyclical nature of our operations amid the 'new normal,'" said Air Astana Group CEO Ibrahim Canliel.
China. Capacity to China grew 81% compared to summer 2025 — 49 weekly flights across 7 destinations. New routes launched from Almaty to Shanghai and Xi'an, from Astana to Guangzhou, and from Aktau to Urumqi. Almaty–Guangzhou became daily from 1 September 2026, and on 23 September FlyArystan launches Almaty–Chongqing twice weekly.
Central Asia and the Caucasus. Almaty–Tashkent frequency rose to three flights a day for the first time. Frequencies to Georgia and Azerbaijan increased. FlyArystan launched new routes to Samarkand, Issyk-Kul, and Batumi.
Europe and Turkey. Almaty–London increased to 4 weekly flights, Frankfurt to 11 per week (from Almaty, Astana, and Uralsk), Istanbul to 25, and Bodrum to 5. Alongside the seasonal Podgorica route, a new Almaty–Larnaca (Cyprus) service launched, extended through 4 October.
Asia. Delhi flights operate twice daily, Mumbai three times weekly. Nha Trang flights run daily, Da Nang five times weekly, alongside regular service to Thailand (12 weekly) and South Korea (11 weekly).
Separately, the group announced: Male (Maldives) flights resume from Almaty on 17 October; a special Astana–Istanbul fare from 170,000 tenge runs through 31 October.
