Air Astana plans to resume regular flights to Dubai, Kazinform reports. Almaty–Dubai–Almaty flights will resume from 1 October 2026, while Astana–Dubai–Astana resumes from 2 October.
Frequency will ramp up gradually: on the Almaty–Dubai route, from 4 to 12 flights per week; on the Astana–Dubai route, from 3 to 10 flights per week.
This marks the second resumption cycle for the Dubai route in 2026. Air Astana first restored the flights in June-July, citing a reroute via Pakistan due to the closure of Iranian airspace to commercial transit. The route was suspended again in July 2026 amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran.
The specific reason for the current resumption, and whether the flight path relative to Iranian airspace has changed, are not clarified in open sources at time of publication.
