Russian carrier Azimuth will begin operating flights on the Moscow (Vnukovo)–Navoi route starting October 28, using Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft. Flights will run once a week, on Wednesdays. Tickets are on sale for the entire winter schedule period, starting from 14,000 rubles one-way and 32,200 rubles round-trip.
This isn't Azimuth's first attempt on this route — the airline previously launched Moscow–Navoi service in June 2022, then operating on Fridays. The route subsequently dropped out of the carrier's active network (it doesn't even appear in historical destination lists) and is now returning — on a different weekday and, apparently, under new commercial terms.
Besides Navoi, Azimuth flies from Russia to Tashkent, Samarkand, Urgench, and Termez — making Navoi the airline's fifth destination in Uzbekistan.
For the industry, this signals growing demand for direct connectivity between Russian travelers and business passengers and Uzbekistan's regional destinations, not just the capital. Navoi is both an industrial center and the closest air gateway to Bukhara and the Kyzylkum desert, making the route attractive to tour operators building itineraries around Uzbekistan's historic cities that bypass an increasingly congested Tashkent.
