Dubai-based cargo airline SolitAir has launched operations in Uzbekistan with the addition of Tashkent International Airport and Navoiy International Airport to its network.
Uzbekistan becomes the third Central Asian country in SolitAir's route map, following earlier operations in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. With the new additions, the carrier's network now spans more than 60 destinations across over 40 countries.
The cooperation is focused on perishable cargo — a category requiring specific temperature control and fast handling. The aircraft type deployed on the Uzbekistan routes, flight frequency, and specific cargo volumes are not disclosed in the announcement.
SolitAir's expansion into Uzbekistan comes amid broader interest from foreign cargo operators in the region: in parallel, My Freighter is running a series of GSA partner tenders worldwide, and Navoiy Airport has separately signed an agreement with Hong Kong-based Harvest Epoch Strategic Investment on airport management expertise.
