The meeting was held on September 18 at the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of Tajikistan in Dushanbe, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Usmonali Usmonzoda, with heads of relevant ministries and agencies in attendance. Participants discussed coordination among agencies on aviation safety, threat and risk assessment for civil aviation, preparation for an upcoming International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) inspection, and remediation of deficiencies identified in the previous ICAO audit. The meeting also covered test inspections and theoretical training sessions involving all relevant agencies, airport infrastructure modernization and reconstruction aligned with safety standards, and quarterly airport commission inspections with mandatory reporting. Following the meeting, Usmonzoda assigned specific tasks to all ministries and agencies regarding preparation for the ICAO inspection. Under Tajikistan's National Aviation Safety Program, such commission meetings are held at least twice a year.
