FlyArystan becomes an IATA member

Kazakhstan's FlyArystan has become a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

For the carrier, this means the opportunity to work alongside IATA and fellow member airlines on key industry priorities, from safety and operations to the future development of aviation. IATA develops global standards for safety, security, efficiency and sustainability in air transport, and membership gives FlyArystan a role in shaping them.

IATA is the trade association for the world's airlines. It represents over 370 airlines in more than 120 countries, accounting for some 85% of global air traffic. That list now includes one of Central Asia's largest low-cost carriers.

Our assessment: membership of an industry association also matters to the airline's partners, including agencies and providers of ground handling and technical services, because it allows work under common international standards. This is flycentralasia's conclusion, not a statement by FlyArystan or IATA.
