FlyArystan completes international IATA safety audit (IOSA)

FlyArystan (part of Air Astana Group) has successfully completed its initial IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) and been added to the International IOSA Registry, AEX.RU reports, citing the airline's press service.

IOSA is an internationally recognized evaluation system designed to assess airlines' management and operational control systems. The audit reviewed FlyArystan's key operational areas: organizational structure and management systems, flight operations, flight dispatch, and maintenance.

This marks the airline's first independent safety audit as a standalone carrier, completing a multi-year transition to an independent operational structure within Air Astana Group.

Achieving this benchmark is notable given the current industry climate: FlyArystan operates a fleet of 28 Airbus A320-family aircraft and, like many global carriers, has faced operational headwinds from GTF engine maintenance issues affecting its Pratt & Whitney-powered A320neos, contributing to a 10.6% traffic decline in H1.
