FlyArystan will launch direct scheduled flights on the Almaty–Urgench–Almaty route from 3 September 2026. Flights will operate twice weekly — on Thursdays and Sundays — using an Airbus A320. Tickets are already on sale for travel dates through 22 October 2026.
Ahead of the launch, the airline took an unusual step for a regional route: FlyArystan and Uzbek tourism company Arda Khiva signed a cooperation memorandum and jointly presented the new service at an event in Khiva. The event was attended by representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Almaty, Khorezm region's tourism department, tour operators and travel agencies from both countries, along with journalists and travel bloggers. Arda Khiva has already built three- and four-day travel packages synchronized with the flight schedule, combining airfare with transfers, excursions and accommodation.
Urgench serves as the main air gateway to Khiva, one of Central Asia's most celebrated cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located roughly 30–40 minutes from the airport by road. The route also operates under a codeshare agreement with Air Astana, opening onward connections for passengers via Almaty into China and South Korea.
The limited sales window — tickets are available only through 22 October — points to a seasonal, test-format launch: the airline appears to be assessing actual demand before committing to the route's continuation. This is not FlyArystan's first move into Uzbekistan: the carrier, a wholly owned subsidiary of Air Astana, has operated Almaty–Samarkand and Astana–Tashkent flights since entering service in 2019.
