Updated entry and exit rules take effect in China on 15 September 2026, FlyArystan's press service said. Passengers flying to or from China are advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours early and confirm their travel documents are valid in advance.
The changes are built around a "verified and lawful" principle: border authorities now have expanded powers to closely cross-check a traveler's stated purpose of visit against their documents. Officers may selectively request proof of return tickets, hotel bookings, or host contacts.
Providing false information, forged documents, or a misrepresented purpose of visit can result in an official entry refusal and a ban on visiting China for a year or more.
Kazakhstan's visa-free regime remains unchanged — citizens can still enter for up to 30 days per trip.
The changes affect all passengers flying to or through China, including transit itineraries via Chinese hubs that Kazakh carriers have recently been expanding.
