On September 8, 2026, Air Astana decided to invest KZT 8 billion (approximately $17.5 million) in subsidiary carrier FlyArystan through the purchase of 2 million ordinary shares at KZT 4,000 each. All shares are being placed with parent company Air Astana.
In parallel, Air Astana is placing another Airbus A320neo (serial number/MSN 13544) — originally ordered by Air Astana itself — into an operating lease with FlyArystan. The lease term is 8 years, with delivery expected in November 2026. Air Astana will guarantee FlyArystan's lease payment obligations.
The investment amount exceeds Air Astana's 2025 net profit by $4.2 million.
FlyArystan currently operates 28 aircraft, running approximately 95 daily flights across 52 routes to 29 destinations.
