Navoi International Airport has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hong Kong-based companies HKIA Consultancy Limited and Harvest Epoch Strategic Investment Limited. The document was signed on 9 September at the 11th Belt and Road Summit in Hong Kong.
The agreement was signed by Simon Li, CEO of HKIA Consultancy, and Yip Koon Shing, Chief Strategy Officer of Harvest Epoch, in the presence of Navoi International Airport Director Alisher Klichev.
The cooperation aims to modernize and enhance Navoi Airport's management, drawing on HKIA Consultancy's years of airport management experience, including expertise gained developing Hong Kong International Airport, along with Harvest Epoch's team of highly qualified specialists.
Specific parameters of the cooperation — investment volume, implementation timeline, particular modernization projects — have not been disclosed in open sources at time of publication. The agreement centers on transferring management expertise rather than developing new cargo routes directly.
