Uzbekistan's Qanot Sharq has announced Bishkek as a new destination. From 17 November 2026, it begins regular flights from Tashkent to the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
Schedule and price
Flights operate once a week, on Tuesdays. The airline invites passengers to discover Kyrgyzstan's capital. Departure and arrival times and the aircraft type were not given in the announcement.
What it means for the market
Tashkent–Bishkek links two regional capitals with active trade and tourist flows. For Qanot Sharq, which is developing a network from regional destinations to long-haul routes, it is one more point in Central Asia. For passengers from Tashkent, the Tuesday flight adds one more option for travelling to Bishkek.
Our assessment: one flight a week is a cautious start. It suits testing demand, but business travel that needs flexibility will find one Tuesday flight limiting. If demand holds, the logical next step is a second weekly frequency. This is flycentralasia's conclusion, not a statement by the airline.
What businesses can do. Tour operators in Tashkent and Bishkek can consider short weekend packages with a Tuesday departure and a later return on other flights.
