The first direct Tashkent–Mauritius flight is scheduled for 26 December, Uzbekistan's Tourism Committee press service said following a meeting between tourism industry representatives from both countries in Tashkent.
The initial phase covers four charter flights: 26 December, 3 and 11 January, and one further January departure. The carrier is Uzbekistan Airways, operating Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft; the charter programme is organised by tour operator Prestige Travel. The direct flight will take about 8.5 hours, compared to 14–17 hours via connections through Dubai or Istanbul.
A move to a regular weekly service is stated for June 2027 — at this stage an intention, not a confirmed schedule.
Both sides are also positioning the route as a transit option, aiming to draw passengers from Kazakhstan, Russia, and other CIS countries through Tashkent en route to Mauritius.
