Uzbekistan Airports, the operator of Uzbekistan's airports, together with cargo carrier My Freighter, has launched a multimodal route for delivering e-commerce goods from China to Europe. The project began on 22 August 2026.
Delivery follows a Truck-to-Air model: cargo from Chinese cities is first transported by truck to Tashkent, then flown by My Freighter aircraft to Liège, Belgium — one of Europe's largest air cargo hubs.
Seven cargo flights have been completed under the project so far. Tashkent serves as an intermediate hub, where cargo is consolidated and transferred from road to air transport before departing for Europe.
The project fits the broader logic of Uzbekistan's development as a transit logistics node between Asia and Europe — a direction Uzbekistan Airports representatives have also emphasized in the context of the new Tashkent airport development.
