Uzbekistan Airways to cut domestic fares from 16 October

Uzbekistan Airways has announced lower fares on domestic routes from 16 October 2026. According to Gazeta.uz and Spot, the review was carried out jointly with the Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Protection, following an analysis of current fares and flight operating costs.

The two outlets describe the size of the cut differently. Gazeta.uz reports an average reduction of 20%, while Spot gives the wording "on average up to 20%". No route-by-route breakdown has been published, so the stated percentage cannot be applied to every ticket.

As of 12 October the new fares are not yet in effect: they are stated to apply from 16 October.

It has not been disclosed which fares will change and by how much on individual routes, how the average was calculated, or for how long the new prices will apply. It is also unclear whether the 16 October date refers to the date of sale or the date of departure, and whether fees, baggage, or exchange and refund conditions are affected.

Our assessment: for tour operators and ticket agents, the key question is not the size of the average but the rule for applying the new prices. If the date refers to sale, domestic trip segments can be repriced from 16 October; if it refers to departure, part of the tickets already sold will stay at the old fares. This is flycentralasia's conclusion, not a statement by Uzbekistan Airways.

Limitation: the original releases from the airline and the Committee, and the fare tables, have not been verified by us. An actual reduction in ticket prices has not been independently confirmed.
