Following a state visit by Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to South Korea, the two countries signed 13 interdepartmental agreements and memoranda in the presence of presidents Mirziyoyev and Lee Jae-myung.
The package of documents covers cooperation in transport and aviation, agriculture, tourism, artificial intelligence, technical assistance, higher, secondary and preschool education, medical product regulation, ecology, climate change response, intellectual property protection, and archival affairs. The two sides prepared a joint investment portfolio worth $12 billion.
Separately, per Trend.az, Uzbekistan is preparing specialists for joint aviation projects with Korea: the goal is training pilots, aviation managers, and air transport logistics specialists, along with transferring advanced Korean expertise in aviation education and flight training to build a sustainable workforce base for national aviation education.
Specific parameters of the aviation agreement — funding volume, participating institutions, implementation timeline — have not been disclosed in open sources at time of publication.
